Coal Power Startup and Stability
Use the current generator and fuel relationships to verify the inputs before you connect the new plant to the factory grid.
Check the operating facts
Bring the plant online in this order
- 1
Confirm that the coal belt can continuously supply the total fuel demand.
- 2
Keep water demand within the connected pipeline capacity and feed the generators from more than one point when needed.
- 3
Fill the fuel and water buffers before connecting the plant to the main grid.
- 4
Compare plant output with factory demand and keep enough reserve for the miner and water supply.
When the plant stops
If one or more generators lose output, inspect both fuel and water buffers before changing the generator count.
If the whole grid trips, separate an input-supply grid if needed, restart the supply buildings, then reconnect the factory load.
